Within nature, we find reoccurring thematic patterns, forms and structures from expressions of life discernible to the human eye, to towering woodland and even the greater cosmos. These are symbolic of the underlying metaphysical principle of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. It is this principle of interconnectedness, inseparability and union, as well as the dualistic nature of all things and the divine crossing of these two seemingly opposed yet perpetually intertwined polarities, that permeates the work I produce. In an effort to, even in some small sense, attempt to re-establish the seemingly fractured connection between human kind and the earth.

In other words, I feel the earth is a messed up simulation controlled by an inter-dimensional race of cyborg like beings that have us trapped within this 3rd dimensional RE-ality construct to use us as energetic slaves that are perpetually recycled in a process similar to the concept of reincarnation. Robots are not our friends, they are our captures and our future. We must reconnect to the natural world, so go hug a tree.

My practice usually begins with an abstract concept which then dictates the medium, usually resulting in a cross-media approach. Although predominantly, I explore the capabilities of multi-media installation, painterly sculptural hybrids and film, in an attempt to expand upon the applications of the practices and to form relationships between them. This is my distraction.
