'matter?'
Within nature, as well as seemingly artificial or man made forms and structures such as computers, we find reoccurring thematic patterns and structures. I feel these are symbolic of the underlying metaphysical principle of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. This principle of interconnection, inseparability and union, within seemingly paradoxically opposed entities, as well as ideas surrounding the 'simulation theory' have been the core concepts that have shaped the imagery for this piece.
If the universe is a simulation, does this not imply that the blooming blossoms of a sweet smelling rose bush or a gentle sea shore, is just as artificial, or for that matter, as natural as the uniformity of a circuit board?
